Magnascan's Information sites range from a basic package up to a custom layout of any size. The basic package costs $545 and consists of the following -

• domain name (1 year)
• website hosting (1 year)
• email accounts (upto 20 addresses)
conditions: all copy, text and photos, must be supplied on disc in an acceptable format. All photos must be named with captions. Layouts are selected from templates and then customized with colours and content. Price is for one year only. Future updates requested from customer are a $20 minimum. Extra website pages (including sub pages) $40 each. Annual renewal $175* subject to change without notice.
Our basic html sites are very flexible and can be upgraded and enhanced with the following effects.

They can contain any type of text, picture or link data in a smaller area and will open or slide to the required information depending on the users mouse actions. They add a sophisticated, more professional look to your website, leaving the visitor with a positive feel. These effects range in price from $10 to $40 per unit, depending on content volume.
DIY website updates - We can update your information site to allow you to edit, add and delete text and images in the main text area of your site via a simple web browser run interface, You will receive an administrator login and password to allow you private access to your site to edit the contents from your own computer. Price for diy site updater is $150.
Events calendars - we can add a calendar to your website that contains a complete list of your upcoming events or occasions. Providing your customers with a quick and simple access to your schedules make for a polished, proffessional image, and events can even have detailed notes on them activated by the visitor with a simple mouseover. Event calendar integration starts at $110 and is based on the volume and complexity of your schedule.
Online shopping - Internet shopping is very popular now and at Magnascan we can integrate an online shop with shopping cart right into your website. Payment is by visa/mastercard or direct through paypal. Cost is $300 for the setup and $5 per item up to 10 items, over that bulk discounts apply. If your requirements are simpler, we can add a single "buy now" Paypal button for $40.
Cms or 'content managed sites' are becoming more and more popular. Many clients have rapidly changing content that just does not permit the time to go back to the webmaster to do the changes, or just can't justify the cost of frequent website updates. If your site fall into this category, then a cms site is for you. We set up the site with the relevant amount of pages and you take over and add the content. Information is added through any web browser (internet explorer, firefox, safari, etc) with an access password by yourself or any number of contributors that you want to have access to the site, all can have individual usernames and passwords. The interface for adding article content is as easy as a basic word document. This access is called 'front end' and is the simplest way to manage your site. How much does it cost?
A basic 5 page cms site set up ready to take content starts at $900, this includes one hours instruction on how to add the content. If, like a lot of people, you are too busy to work out how to add the content, we can install you initial information as a standard 5 page configuration for an additional $300. This would give you a fully functional website from the start and you can then learn the technical bits in your own time.
More complicated sites with multiple menus, rss feeds, customer logins, more than 5 pages etc, will be priced on an individual basis. It must be remembered that as the controller of your own website, you will be responsible for its management, and this will require some learning. Magnascan is happy to help out at the beginning but the support on a new cms site is for one week only, after that all requests for technical assistance will be charged.
There are certain methods we can use that can increase your websites visibility to the major search engines (google, yahoo). We can add sitemap xml and robot files to your website that are actively searched for and indexed by search engine spiders, dramatically decreasing the time taken to list or "index" your website. There are no guarantees but it is a proven way of increasing your chances of being included in search results and we have many customers who will testify to this. Price for SEO treatment is $210, this is a one off fee. This treatment can be applied to static or CMS websites.
Magnascan will host your website for the annual cost of $176. Most of our packages include the first year in the price. This is for as much web space as your site needs to function (fair go policy applies) and also includes the hosting of any databases that may be needed to run your site. The hosting price also includes hosting your email accounts and domain name for the same period. Hosting time starts when your website order is first placed and is then billed annually.
