• What we do. Magnascan can supply a full range of printing services, from business cards to full colour brochures. We can print small runs and customize.
• What we have. Our impressive range of in house equipment includes high-end crosfield drum scanners, flat-bed scanners, high speed full colour copiers, powerful desktop macintosh workstations with the latest page makeup and image manipulation programs, a large format colour poster printer and a short-run celloglazing machine. We also have a fully equipped in-house photo studio with a comprehensive range of film and digital cameras capable of capturing sharp, clear images of your products & services. • When we do it. Our office hours are 8.30Am to 4.30Pm Monday to Friday.
We always aim for a quality product and our successes at the PICA excellence in print awards is a reward for that aim.
We now have a total of 2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals at the national awards and 4 gold and 2 silver at state level, with our latest success being at the 2007 national awards (1 gold & 2 bronze).
We are always competing against much larger businesses than ourselves, with more resourses and people, so its a very rewarding experience when we win, its what keeps us motivated. Keep an eye on our medal tally at the top, were not finished yet!
Canon Imagepress C1.
The most advanced digital printing press in the area. Bulk paper feeder, inline folding & stapling, document feeder automatically copies up to 250 pages, prints on thick card & vinyl. Prints, folds and staples up to 64 page a4 books automatically, and it can photocopy! Call us to find out what it can do for you!
• Computer Workstations. We have 4 apple macintosh systems, an Intel chipped Quad core Powermac Tower, a 24' intel Imac, a G3 Imac and a dual processor G5, all running Apples leading operating system OSX, as well as 2 pentium 4's with windows xp. Applications include Quark Xpress 6.5, Adobe Illustrator cs5, Adobe Photoshop cs5, Adobe Bridge, Adobe Acrobat 9 professional, Adobe Indesign cs5, corel draw and microsoft office suite.
• Large Format Printer. Our large format printer is the epson 9800, probably the finest quality large printer in the world. Its capable of printing resolutions upto 2880dpi and can image that at 1180mm by any length. Its ultrachrome k3 inkset is recognized as one of the premier archival inks on the market and can deliver stunning colour rendition and clarity.
• Crosfield scanner. The Crosfield Drum scanner is legendary in its ability to produce the worlds highest resolution scans. With an input optical resolution of 8500dpi, it leaves even the most advanced flatbed scanners for dead. The secret is in its use of photomultipliers not ccd's to capture the digital signal. Its input size for prints and transparencies is 500x650mm.
• Flatbed Scanner. We also have a flatbed scanner from epson, the v-700. Its a fast, capable scanning unit, coming as close as you can get to the drum scanner quality, but possessing the important advantage of being able to scan non flexible originals.
• Celloglazer. Our new celloglazing machine can matt or gloss celloglaze single or double sided stock up to 315mm wide. Perfect for short run covers and cards!
